Food Inflammation Test

Size

The most accurate food test available, measuring not only food sensitivities but also inflammation and gut permeability, all in one simple test.

This test measures your immune system response to 22, 132 or 176 common foods + zonulin, which measures intestinal permeability, also known as leaky gut.

"I have been dealing with stomach pains and GI issues most of my life, but could never find the root cause. The FIT test was able to show me exactly which foods were causing the biggest issues in my body with a simple finger prick. I began feeling better almost immediately after removing the two biggest culprits, and now three months later, I feel amazing! I only wish I had taken this test sooner."

Frequently Asked Questions

Which test is right for me?

For most patients, we recommend the FIT 132 + Zonulin as the best value. It gives us many of the foods that we find in a traditional diet as well as the added benefit of including Zonulin to measure leaky gut

FIT 22 is great for patients who are on a budget, but want to look at the most common culprits of inflammation.

FIT176 + Zonulin is for patients that have severe symptoms or who want to optimize their overall health. This is the most comprehensive test that we offer and covers many different types of foods and food additives.

What will my results tell me?

Your FIT test results will tell you how reactive your IgG antibodies + Compliment Protein (C3d) are to specific foods in your diet.

Each food will be rated on a scale of 0 to 4+, with 0 and 1 being low reactivity, 2 being mild, 3 being high and 4+ being severe. Prioritizing the highest reactive foods is a great place to start when planning your elimination diet.

You will also receive:

  • 1-1 consultation with one of our trained health coaches
  • Personalized information and education
  • 12 week program and support to help you implement your changes

What guidance will I get with my results?

The Feel Good Lab will provide tailored suggestions about how to implement your personalized results. While reactivity does not always equate to symptoms, it can help to prioritize foods selected for an elimination diet.

Your 1-1 consultation with one of our trained health coaches will help you to understand the test results and guide you to start making improvements to your overall diet.

The 12 week program will help you to stay consistent and track your progress.

How long will it take to see any benefits?

Many patients begin to see results almost immediately for foods that cause severe symptoms, however some symptoms caused by food inflammation can show up weeks after the food was ingested.

Best results will build over the first few months, with many patients able to attempt reintroducing foods 4-8 months later.

What is IgG and Compliment Protein C3d?

IgG stands for Immunoglobulin G, a type of antibody made by the immune system to fight viruses, bacteria and other foreign substances.

C3d is a complement protein antibody that is involved in the regulation of many aspects of the immune response.

When both IgG and C3d are detected it means a significantly higher immune response and thus inflammation may be present. Additionally, having both signals present significantly increases the accuracy and reduces the risk of false positives.

What's the difference between food allergy, sensitivity & inflammation?

Food allergy tests measure an IgE immune response, which is an immediate reaction that can sometimes be life-threatening. Some examples of food allergies are peanut, dairy and shellfish allergies.

Food sensitivity tests measure an IgG immune response, but can often be inaccurate and cause false positives because of the sole signal being tested.

Food inflammation tests measure both an IgG immune response plus a C3d complement protein, providing double the signal of a food sensitivity test for higher accuracy. Additionally when C3d is present it signals a significantly higher inflammatory response.

How do I collect my sample at home?

Learn Why Our Pharmacists Love The FIT Test

Inflammation vs Sensitivity

Unlike food sensitivity testing, which only measures IgG and can often cause false positives, our Food Inflammation Test is the only patented test to measure both IgG + Compliment Protein (C3d) in the same panel. This means it targets the foods that are 10-1000x more likely to cause inflammation with a 95% accuracy.*

Don't Just Take Our Word For It

Athletic Performance

"As a professional athlete I've learned that eating the right diet FOR ME allows me to optimize my training and recovery so that I'm always performing at my highest level. Perhaps more importantly, as a mother, I am excited to know which foods my son should avoid so that he can go about his days feeling his best. With a simple prick the FIT test was able to identify which foods were causing inflammation and ultimately slowing us both down. We're grateful to have the knowledge and power about our diets moving forward to enhance our everyday lives and maximize our athletic performance!"

Cat Zingano
Professional fighter & first ever mother to compete in UFC

"The test is easy to perform at home and results are quick compared to so many labs. I see many patients with all sorts of gut permeabillity issues with the resultant inflammatinon that manifests in a wide variety of symptoms ranging from arthritis, muscle pain, lethargy, fatigue, brain fog and more and I have found this test can really help alleviate so many of these broad symptoms."

Emma D.

NT, AFMCP, mBANT

"As an MD, I have been performing steroid injections on my thumb joint multiple times per year. I always knew there was something underlying that made me susceptible to this ongoing pain. Since I performed the FIT test and eliminated all of the foods for the past 4 months my thumb pain is gone, my back and shoulders feel great."

Todd M.

MD, DC

"Some of my clients use the test just to continue with their healthy habits and eating only what their body agrees with. Others use it for weight loss goals and are astounded how the wrong foods have blocked their efforts. Many clients use the test to improve their inflammatory conditions and I have seen amazing results!"
